Gerhardt Hubner has come under fire in recent months as the district has launched several personnel investigations, which have resulted in skyrocketing legal costs. The investigations have included probes into alleged racism and code of conduct violations by Hubner, alleged threats made by the sewage plant chief operator and an alleged Brown Act violation by a district board member.

Additionally, there is a pending Department of Fair Employment and Housing investigation into Hubner. Also, the state water board twice admonished Hubner and is expected to issue a fine against the district due to an April 2017 environmental violation.

District board member Jim Hill said the investigations Hubner has launched have come at a cost of more than $100,000 to ratepayers. As the investigations have mounted, the sanitation district’s finances have plunged into the red.

Hubner was hired in April 2016. He receives more than $16,000 a month in salary and benefits.

The sanitation district board, which is scheduled to meet on Aug. 2, is slated to hire former interim administrators Paul Karp and Rick Sweet to fill Hubner’s role while a search is conducted for a new administrator.

This must be an older photo.

When was the last time Hubner showed up for a meeting looking professional?

His work is sloppy, he’s a sloppy unkept mess.

Good riddance.

The real tragedy here is that John Shoals and Linda Guiton can’t recognize an incompetent administrator before getting rid of him puts the ratepayers on the hook for he and his family’s lifetime benefits.

Once again the ratepayers get the short end of the stick and another administrator rides off with a bundle.

According to the local fish wrap, his accomplishments were overwhelming. Talk about fake new, just read The Tribune. Anything local that they have to report on cannot be trusted for sure!

After several instances of having his ass handed to him for unfounded allegations against Mr. Clemons and the Admin clerk, Hubner see’s the light and surrenders. An arrogant shyster, perhaps but no match for the infamous Wallace.

There’s a severance alright. Three months salary!

Resign? I bet, maybe with a little pressure. It will be very interesting to see if there is any severance pay that is going to be made to get rid of this guy?
