Group launches another Gov. Gavin Newson recall effort

A group of conservative activists are launching a second recall effort aimed at ousting California Gov. Gavin Newsom with a focus on the state’s growing budget deficit and his potential presidential run. [POLITICO]

The group plans to serve Newsom with recall papers on Monday morning. In order to get the recall on a ballot, the group will need to collect approximately 1.38 million signatures.

Newsom won the 2021 recall vote by more than 60%.

The group points at the state’s $73 billion budget deficit while Newsom appears focused on national issues. Their specific issues include his support of laws that have increased retail thefts, given health benefits to undocumented immigrants, and spent large amounts of public funds on homelessness without significant results.

Recalls don’t work, except to build up the politician being recalled. Counterproductive

I don’t remember the Democrats calling for the recall of Arnold Schwarzenegger after he tripled the state’s debt to over $91 billion between 2003 and 2009. That’s what elections are for. The Republicans should be focusing on running a common sense, Chamber of Commerce Republican who believes in the ideals of Ronald Reagan and not the corruption of Donald Trump.

With Newsom and Schiff we can understand why Steve Garvey is to conservatives for California. Actually every reason to vote for Steve Garvey.

Newsom will once again prove himself “unimpeachable” and earn more publicity as a “winner” on his way to becoming United States president. And taxpayers will once again pay for a ridiculous and unnecessary recall election. Newsom 2028!

I think the CA GOP should consider finding a candidate and a message that could actually win a majority before they pursue another tantrum-esque recall attempt.


If Newsom is really that bad, it shouldn’t be hard to nominate someone better… You’d think…

Another waste of money on a recall. This is not the way to do it. Just vote him out if you do not like his policies or performance. Lose the election, tuff nuts.

He has Definity been a disaster as CA governor….He doesn’t seem to really care about the state, check out Oakland.

I don’t think there has ever been a presidential candidate who had two recall attempts from his own citizens…. so Gavin may as well give up that pipedream…

Or by winning the recall election, it ends up promoting Newsom.

San Francisco’s decline should give all voters a view of what the US will become under President Newsom. Newson needs to be put out to pasture.

Go to SF. I love the place. I don’t buy into media representations and hate how Mississippi, NYC, SF, Alabama, etc. etc. etc. are put down.
