The former director of the San Luis Obispo Gala Pride and Diversity Center pleaded guilty to embezzlement on Friday.

Prosecutors initially charged 46-year-old Dustin Robert Colyerworth with four counts of grand theft by embezzlement. He pleaded guilty to two of the counts.

The court ordered Colyerworth to pay $59,302 back to the nonprofit before his June 25 sentencing hearing.

Colyerworth embezzled the funds from the Gala Pride and Diversity Center beginning in Nov. 2022 and ending in Oct. 2024.

The more virtue signaling the name of the organization, the greater the fraud.

Maybe a fake hospice, or a Learing Center would be more profitable. Or maybe California EDD fraud…..he had so many options.

He needs to start a health care company, NGO, or fire victim enity, that’s where the real stealing of taxpayer funds happens.

Greed! Greed! Greed! Do gooders who want to do well…for themselves.

“You gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers in this racket.”

He’s almost qualified for Congress, at least he’s got the spirit.

This guy is a rookie at borrowing from left-wing feel-good organizations. He was waiting for an opening in the homeless industrial complex, where the real money is.
