Plains Fire in Eastern San Luis Obispo County burns 2,500 acres

The Plains Fire burning in Eastern San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday has grown to 2,500 acres. The fire is 15% contained and forward progress has been stopped.
Shortly after noon, a caller reported the fire burning near the 9400 block of Soda Lake Road on the Carrizo Plain, according to Cal Fire.
Resources from Kern County, Paso Robles Fire, Templeton Fire, Atascadero Fire, Santa Margarita Fire, and the Los Padres National Forest are assisting with suppression efforts.
