San Luis Obispo police officers are searching for a driver who fled the scene of a rollover crash in the intersection of Broad and South streets on Saturday night.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the driver of a red Subaru Impreza was headed eastbound on South Street following closely behind a car in the right-turn lane onto Broad Street, witnesses said. The Subaru then sped around the car in front of him and attempted to turn right onto Broad Street, but drove over the center divide and crashed into a white Ford Escape.

The crash propelled the Subaru onto southbound Broad Street, where it landed on its roof. A male driver got out of the flipped Subaru and ran behind the Dollar Tree, witnesses said. It’s not known if the driver of the Subaru was injured in the crash.

Drivers fleeing accidents and the police are a special kind of Low I.Q. stupid. Since the driver’s name is on the car’s registration, the police only need to go to his place of residence.

Probably needed to shake out his shorts, seems SLO is becoming a race track.
