Man wounded in Santa Maria shooting

A man suffered a gunshot wound in an overnight shooting in Santa Maria.
Early Saturday morning, just after midnight, officers responded to the 2400 block of North Baldwin Way. Officers located a 34-year-old man who had sustained a gunshot wound, according to the Santa Maria Police Department.
Responders transported the victim to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. Investigators ask that anyone who has information about the shooting call Detective Rubio at (805) 310-9855 or the Santa Maria Police Department Tip Line at (805) 928-3781 ext. 2677.
