Pismo Beach candidate’s misinformation campaign continues

Clare Malone Prichard

OPINION by MEL STAHLMAN

My opinion in the letter to the editor of the CalCoastNews on Sept. 1, stands correct. I feel a candidate’s honesty and credibility is paramount when running for Pismo Beach City Council and do not feel Clare Malone Prichard is qualified.

It seems from all the commentary replies I may in fact finally, after three years, get paid the San Luis Obispo County Superior Court Judgment. The principle and truth is the goal here.

Yesterday, Sept. 15, in the afternoon, Clare Malone Prichard’s attorney, Tyler Saldo, admitted the judgment in question has not been paid. Tyler Saldo called my attorney and blamed his paralegal for  “dropping the ball.”

The court order is now over $11,000 with interest. I expect some wiggle room statements to follow.

But I repeat, the judgment is not paid, hence the lien on Clare Prichard’s house is not removed. It is now that the Prichard’s want to pay it.

Interestingly, back on June 2,  I asked my attorney to send a letter to Clare Prichard’s attorney asking  if Clare Prichard  planned to voluntarily pay the judgment. I received no reply.

If Clare Prichard continues to insist the court order has been paid then why wouldn’t someone contest the existing lien for three years? Where has the money been sitting all this time without a word to my attorney or me?

Clare Prichard claims she paid the judgement in Aug. 2023 but a recorded lien was sent to her attorney Oct. 2023. Where are Clare Prichard’s receipts, bank statements, deposit slips, and cleared recorded checks dated by the bank?

There were numerous opportunities to come forth and clear this up before now. Fishy? Maybe the California Bar Association needs to take a look at this. I have my attorney letters dated and proof of the truth.

This is the nonsense about claiming integrity, ethics, and fairness. Projecting slanderous character traits against me is nothing more than a defense mechanism projecting one’s own character onto another to deflect the focus.

What’s most important here is not the money, it is only pennies compared to my attorney fees I was responsible for during two years of litigation. It’s the patterns of behavior and nature of it all. There is so much more I could share. Don’t let your intelligence be insulted.

I thank all my supporters who either know me or understood the legal nuances of this court judgment proceeding.

Finally, I am an old man now, have thicker skin and have other challenges facing me.  I don’t need a position of importance to validate who I am. I forgive what is wrong here and let my heart lighten. Anger is poison to one’s soul.
