Users also downloaded more than 1 million apps for the device and 250,000 e-books.

The second series of 3G-ready iPads debuts later this month.

“The iPad is going to be a game-changer,” said Apple CEO Steve Jobs. “IPad users, on average, downloaded more than three apps and close to one book within hours of unpacking their new iPad.

In contrast, in 2007, it took Apple 74 days to sell 1 million of the original iPhones.

Everything has a few bugs when first introduced… it’ll all work out.

Personally, I think the bottom line versions are impressive for the cost… although I opted for the Wi-Fi 3G 64GB which addresses my concerns.

Here’s a complete story:

for what it’s worth… our family bought 3

Some geeks over the grade have taken one apart already.

Ah methinks someone here at CalCoast is a “Mac person” what with this shilling for Apple :)

Nice idea, but it just fails to solve the issues that make portable PCs practical.

1 – Storage, and this thing doesnt even have a flash disk/SD card.

2 – hardware compatibility – when will someone please put a standard usb port on portable pc,

3 – pocket size – nope!,

4 – big screen – ok the ipad has that, too bad it’s not 4 smaller synchronized screens so it could be collapsed down.

5 – no multitasking – well that kind of defeat the purpose of using it to replace multiple other devices

6 – Failure to support standards (i.e. No Adobe Flash support).

Even diehard Apple fans will toss these in some drawer in 6-8 weeks and go back to doing everything on their iPhones.
