Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, an Atascadero resident heard arguing coming from the creek area near the intersection of Capistrano Avenue and Sycamore Road and called police.
A man and a woman told officers Tracey Bellew, 42, had pointed a gun at their heads and threatened to shoot them. They had argued over tenant rights in one of many creek side settings where the homeless set of camps.
Bellew took off before police arrived. Officers established a perimeter in the creek area, found Ballew and booked her into San Luis Obispo County Jail on assault with a deadly weapon charge.
