San Luis Obispo County sheriff’s deputies arrested Franklin, 69, last month for multiple charges of child molestation and child pornography. Franklin is charged with abusing three relatives, now ages 3, 13, and 15.

Prosecutors allege Franklin abused the victims multiple times over the last decade and used the 3-year-old to create child pornography. The San Luis Obispo District Attorney’s office says he molested the 15-year-old for a period of six years and the 13-year-old for eight years, and he began abusing the youngest victim when the child was a 2-year-old.

Franklin, who appeared in court Monday, has pleaded not guilty. He is represented by attorney Gus Galambos.

Currently, Franklin is in San Luis Obispo County Jail with his bail set at $2 million.

Franklin’s family has owned the hot springs since the 1960s.

“Franklin Host Springs” is a typo and needs to be corrected.

everyone needs a correction, Franklin’s bore bath or warm artesian well, not a spring.

wonderful place to listen to the “kill-deer” and meadow larks

I’m wondering what the source is for the claim that Leonard Ray Franklin is “co-owner” of Franklin Hot Springs.

The TT: “An earlier version of this story incorrectly referenced a business relationship and where Leonard Franklin lived. While Franklin has spoken on behalf of Franklin Hot Springs in the past and has previously been called a co-owner, a deed shows he has never co-owned the business, which belongs to Norman and Cynthia Franklin. Also, Leonard Franklin lives on the same road as the establishment, but he does not live on the property, as was reported.”

Wow, that family sure has it’s share of self inflicted trouble.

Somehow I always felt there was something backwards about that place.

From the Franklins’s website: Norm Franklin & Cindy Franklin are the current owners of Franklin Hot Springs. Norm wants everyone to know and understand that Leonard Franklin does not live on the property of Franklin Hot Springs and his home is approx. 3/4 of a mile away from the hot springs.
