Lompoc gas wars

December 1, 2013

moneyGas stations across Lompoc are participating in a gas price war that has resulted in plummeting prices. [KCOY]

Gas prices in Lompoc are the lowest in 12 western states with three gas stations selling gas at $3.41.

“So, if someone works in Santa Barbara and commutes from Santa Maria, a swing through Lompoc would save them about 25 cents a gallon right now,” Lompoc Mayor John Linn told KCOY.

The average price of gas in California is currently $3.55.

Collusion is just not what it used to be… this week.

Another faux news day at its best…

I paid $3.399 at the Vons in Nipomo on 11/29 (cash price) and the same $3.399 in Salinas on 12/1 (no cash discount).

Lompoc stations MAY have had the lowest prices in 12 yards, even 12 miles, but 12 states???

I guess LOST HILLS has not got the word , they are raping the public , this weekend it was MORE than the central coast WTF

Huh? I was just in Bakersfield and saw gas for $3.08.

And how is that even possible? 30 plus cents difference to Lompoc and about 50 cents difference to average coastal stations. How could it possibly cost $10 more to fill up here than in Bakersfield?
