Chip Fox, 37, is facing a maximum of 9 ½ years in prison.

Fox, Kevin Reardon, 35, of Valencia, Calif., and a female companion had stopped for the night at a home in New Mexico. Prosecutors said they were huffing a can of dust cleaner to get high shortly before Fox stabbed Reardon.

Reardon was airlifted to a hospital in Texas where he later died from a single stab wound.

The court is awaiting evaluations of Fox by the New Mexico Department of Corrections before setting a sentencing date.

Sounds just like the kind of people you would want to invite into home…

In the eyes of the law, manslaughter is not murder.

Next time stick to payote.
