Santa Maria robbers evade capture

Santa Maria policeTwo robberies took place in a span of about 15 minutes in Santa Maria Monday night, and police have yet to catch any suspects. [KSBY]

Just before 10 p.m., two robbers wearing dark clothes and coverings over their faces robbed a 7-11 store at gunpoint. Shortly after, two robbers with matching descriptions held up the Boone Street Market at gunpoint.

The convenience store is located in the 500 block of Boone Street. The robbers escaped the location with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Santa Maria police say they have surveillance footage but have not yet released it. Police are asking for anyone with information pertaining to the robberies to contact the police department or Crime Stoppers.

Wanna bet the coverings were “hoodies?” Zimmerman’s racist assumptions and overblown ego aside, there are reasons to be cautious of people wearing hoodies — particularly at night.


Coverings over their faces???? You mean a mask? lol.
