Man shot and killed in Santa Maria

Santa Maria police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a man in a parked car Monday morning. [KSBY]
Officers responded to several reports of gunfire and found the victim critically wounded inside a car on a street next to a large apartment complex. The shooting occurred shortly before 6 a.m. in the 1000 block of Morrison Avenue.
Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim. No suspects or a motive have been identified either.
Detectives do not know if the shooting was gang-related.
Police are asking that anyone with information about the shooting contact the Santa Maria Police Department.
