A woman was reportedly run over by her own car Tuesday evening outside the Cambria Pines Lodge. [KSBY]
The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the hotel’s restaurant. The woman was at the Cambria Pines Lodge with her family, a hotel employee said.
When fire personnel arrived at the scene, they found one of the car’s front tires on top of the woman’s leg. Firefighters raised the car using a hydraulic lift and pulled the woman out from underneath.
An ambulance transported her to the hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. Officials have not yet disclosed how the woman became trapped under the car.
