Around 7 p.m., police found a stolen vehicle parked on Ocean Boulevard and Plancentia Avenue. Shortly before 10 p.m., a man got into the car and police attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The man did not stop and instead drove onto northbound Highway 101. After leading police on a car chase, the suspect crashed and overturned his vehicle on the Avila Beach Drive offramp.

The car rolled several times and knocked over a road sign underneath the highway. The suspect then ran away, and officers lost him.

Police say he ran off into the brush.

Ten law enforcement vehicles arrived at the scene. Pismo Beach and CHP officers, as well as San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies, searched for the suspect on a hillside but did not find him.

Police describe the suspect as a white man dressed in all black clothes. Investigators say they will process the vehicle for evidence.

Maybe he escaped into the creek and we could chase him with the Sheriffs boat.

I totally agree, we fund a K-9 unit that could have done what was needed. It is a great feature to what the criminal pleading to get the dog off his arss.

Where’s man’s best friend when you need him?
