Paso Robles police officers arrested a 23-year-old man Thursday for possession of child pornography.

After receiving a tip from the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Paso Robles police served a warrant on an apartment in the 3000 block of Spring Street. Officers then seized several computers belonging to Ernesto Barajas.

The task force is comprised of federal and local law enforcement agencies spread throughout nine counties located in Central California including San Luis Obispo County. The task force is dedicated to protecting children online and investigating internet crimes committed against children.

A task force investigator, who performed a forensic examination of the computers, found files that contained child pornography images and videos.

On Thursday, officers interviewed Barajas. Following the interview, officers arrested Barajas for possession of child pornography and booked him into the San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Here we go again!

I suspect that we are just getting better at finding them although technology makes it both easier to indulge in this crap for those so inclined and easier to find evidence of their perversions when they are caught.

As the population continues to expand, so do all types of crimes. SLO County is becoming infested with undesirables for sure. Sorry, Citygirl, but of you are reading, hearing or seeing the news there is a common thread and a reason the gang task force is involved in a lot of these cases, another cost to the legal, upstanding taxpayers!

Are their more of these pervs than their use to be, or are we just getting better at finding them? Seems there is a perv of the week lately.
