Driver extricated after swerving off Cuesta Grade

Emergency crews extricated a person who drove a white two-door car off the Cuesta Grade Tuesday. The driver’s current condition is unclear. [KSBY]
Shortly after noon, the driver left the northbound side of Highway 101 near Mount Lowe Road, smashed through a fence, ploughed through about 70 feet of heavy brush which trapped the driver inside the vehicle.
The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
It is unclear what caused the crash. Authorities have yet to release the driver’s identity.
