Sibling tag team uses gun, pepper spray in Santa Maria robberies

March 20, 2017

Jeremy and Jasen Robles

During an early morning Santa Maria robbery, one brother pepper sprayed a male victim, and the other sibling hit him in the head with a handgun, according to the city’s police department. Moments later, the brothers allegedly robbed a female at gunpoint.

The brothers then fled in a vehicle they allegedly stole prior to the first robbery, but officers caught the suspects and arrested them. Police have identified the suspects as Jeremy Robles, 23, and Jason Robles, 22.

Shortly before 5 a.m. Monday, Santa Maria police received a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers arrived in the 900 block of W. Mariposa Way, and as they investigated the stolen vehicle report, police received a report of a robbery in the area of Depot and Boone streets.

The Robles brothers confronted the male victim, demanded money and, at some point during the robbery, pepper sprayed him and hit him in the head with a gun. Moments later, they confronted the female victim in the area of 400 W. Morrison Street.

After displaying a firearm and demanding money, the Robles brothers fled, a police said. But, the female victim managed to get the license place of the vehicle in which the brothers were fleeing.

Officers in the area located the car and stopped the vehicle. Police discovered evidence that connected the Robles brothers to both robberies.

Police booked both brothers in Santa Barbara County Jail on charges related to the robberies and vehicle theft.

Wonder what they wanted to buy?

Maybe the question of where they are from could mean the country and illegally here or not. It would be interesting to see how many crimes are committed by illegal immigrants. Unfortunately if they are here illegally and you send them back the country they came from that country doesn’t want to pay for housing them in jail so they will probably let them go and they will come back again to do it all over again. We need to get with these other countries and demand they put these guys in jail and have them verify it to us.

California needs to get serious about law and order, I don’t care if we have to build prisons from SLO to the Arizona border. Lock them up and keep them locked up. Defending the citizens of this state needs to be priority one in Sacramento and at this point in time it’s not.

So you are one of the bigger government guys? Increasing the payroll of the justice/Leo/unions to manage all of the new facility’s.

Also you are confused, prisons don’t defend anyone, they are for after the tragedy, murder or other crime.

Bigger Government guys? No I’m a Government do what you are mandated to do guys. Protecting the folks in California by keeping dangerous people in jail for their entire term is one of those mandates. Handing out long sentences for violent perpetrators is both a deterrent and adds to the safety of and for the citizens of California.

It strikes me as very strange to have to say this but I guess some people need to hear it.

Hit a man in the head with a handgun…how about an attempted murder charge for good measure. Put these boys in the pokey for as long as possible, or offer them a free trip south of the border. The cartels are always looking for a few good men.

Deporting citizens is not a thing.

The family that robs together stays together, hopefully in prison together!!

I’m sure their mother/s is/are very proud of them.

How long does it take for the police to release where the criminals are from?

It’s not really high priority information to get out to the public if these bozos are in custody, is it? But since these crime happened in Santa Maria, a safe guess would be that is where they are from.

Maybe the question of where they came from was in reference to the country and being here legally or not. They should tell us if the people commiting crimes are here illegally or not so we can see how many crimes are really commited by illegals. Unfortulately it does no good to send them home because their home country doesn’t care what they do out of their country and don’t want to spend money on them while in jail.

Don’t worry El Trumpo is publishing a weekly crime blotter of illegals and you don’t even need to be convicted to be there.First one was out this week.

I wonder if we will see Russians on the list?

Santa Maria?

Kudos to the female victim for having the presence of mind to get the license plate number and quickly call police. Who knows how many more innocent people these losers would have victimized?

Well done!
