Ryan Petetit’s sentencing hearing delayed, again

According to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office, the County Probation Department had not finished its report. However, the probation department report was submitted in January, according to probation.

Prior to sentencing on felony charges, a probation report will suggest either a harsher sentence or leniency depending on the convicted person’s history of extenuating circumstances and criminal behavior.

On Nov. 22, 2015, Ryan Petetit assaulted his girlfriend and held her against her will. During the assault, the victim suffered a head injury.

In Nov. 2018, Petetit pleaded guilty to assault with great bodily injury, false imprisonment with force, dissuading a witness, and two charges of inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant. Petetit is facing up to five years and eight months in prison.

At a sentencing hearing on Jan. 17, San Luis Obispo County Judge Barry LaBarbera agreed to a three month delay so Petetit could legally change his name to Ryan Joseph Wright.

On April 24, Petetit’s attorney Patrick Fisher asked to speak to Judge Dodie Harman in chambers to discuss another extension, until after a June hearing in Los Angeles over an objection to Petetit’s requested name change.

However, because the assistant district attorney assigned to the case, Kristy Imel, was not at the hearing, Harman declined the meeting and set a sentencing hearing for May 2.

While Petetit’s attorney is seeking another continuation, “Imel is objecting to a continuation into June and is hoping the sentencing will take place as scheduled,” according the the District Attorney’s Office.

On Thursday, Petetit is scheduled for sentencing for the assault conviction, and also for a trial setting conference for a drunk in public and obstruction arrest in Pismo Beach in 2012.

Lock up this scumbag and throw away the key. Sentencing delayed due to name change? You have got to be kidding! What is going at this courthouse?

Folks,

This admitted criminal, Ryan Petetit, AKA, Ryan Joseph Wright, is manipulating the justice system, and DA Dan Dow, Judges Barry LaBarbera and Judge Dodie Harman, and the SLO County Probation Office are absolutely wrong to allow this manipulative defendant to trample all over justice in these serious criminal cases.

If the inbred SLO justice system sees fit to let Ryan Petetit off with a slap on the wrist, then why don’t all other criminal defendants get the same lenient sentences and breaks from accountability? If anything, this whole case is just another black eye for the disreputable Adam Hill, and it, once again, shows why so many people look down on career politicians like Adam Hill, Heidi Harmon and Caren Ray Rossum. We vote these people into office, and they continually disappoints with their corrupt schemes, criminal friends and manipulative nature.

Why doesn’t the legal community in SLO, just once, hold one of their own up to the same high standards that they so proudly hold others up to?

Speak truth to power.

The way this guy operates he’s got dirt on public officials and they have to present him the deal HE wants.

If I were a criminal I would make sure I set up business in SLO county. It’s a criminal friendly county. I could be out in the open about it without too much fear. If law enforcement did come after me it would be at a snails pace and when prosecuted a lot of the time the punishment would be minimal. A note to all aspects of law enforcement from too to bottom: Do your job.

Changing his name:

Anyone doing a search for him in the future on one of the dating background check sites won’t get a hit, because his violent criminal past will be under his old name.

Anyone doing a Google search for him won’t find his violent criminal past, for the same reason.

News articles about him won’t show up with a search for his new name.

In the digital age, name changes with these circumstances should be denied.

A delay so he could change his name? Once again San Luis Obispo proving horrible white criminals have laws especially for them. Next will be a note from Ryan’s mother claiming her son needs another delay so he can give her a ride to her hair appointment and church. Petetit / Wright, or whoever he may be this week, is a well known con man and grifter, because being a Violent girlfriend beating kidnapping pig just isn’t enough. I’ll be looking around town to see if we can spot him having lunch with Dan Dow. Let’s see what kind of light (white) sentence he gets before he commits his next crime. #SloWhiteCrimes

Team Adam Hill Cartel. Where is the cartel lawyer, Wagstaffe?

Money makes the world go around!

He did the crime, now do the time.
