Driver hits parked car in Atascadero causing injuries, road closure

A driver hit a parked car in Atascadero Wednesday morning injuring the driver and resulting in a partial closure of El Camino Real.
The collision occurred at 8115 El Camino Real in front of Country Touch Cafe.
A witness said a car was traveling very fast and crashed into a vehicle that was parked on the street. The impact of the collision caused the parked vehicle to collide with a van that was parked behind it.
The driver suffered undisclosed injuries in the crash.
Following the collision, Atascadero police closed El Camino Real at Palomar Avenue. The northbound portion of El Camino Real was blocked.
Police reopened the road prior to 9:15 a.m.
