Templeton man’s body found on Highway 101

California Highway Patrol officers identified the person whose body was found lying beside Highway 101 in northern San Luis Obispo County on July 31 as 37-year-old Chad Corpuz of Templeton.
His body was found lying off southbound Highway 101 near Vineyard Drive. A Caltrans worker discovered the man’s body face down on the dirt shoulder of the highway.
Investigators have informed Corpuz’s family of his death.
In mid-June, Corpuz’s family reported him missing. He had walked away from his home on June 14, and was reported missing two days later.
At the time, Corpuz was considered at risk because of his mental state.
A suspisious death investigation is ongoing.
