Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in San Luis Obispo crash

A motorcyclist from Paso Robles suffered life-threatening injuries after colliding with a vehicle in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday.

Shortly before 1 p.m., police officers and fire personnel responded to a collision at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Casa Street. Responders found the motorcyclist, a 24-year-old Paso Robles man, in the roadway with serious injuries, according to the San Luis Obispo Police Department.

Emergency personnel transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, a 58-year-old Santa Maria man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Both the Santa Maria man and his passenger were transported a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

Police temporarily closed Foothill Boulevard between California Boulevard and Santa Rosa Street in the aftermath of the crash.

Investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol factored into the collision. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
