Vehicles burning at San Luis Obispo water treatment plant

Two vehicles are burning in a fire on Tuesday afternoon at the San Luis Obispo water treatment plant, in an area used for storage.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m., a caller reported a fire burning off the Bob Jones Trail near the intersection of Los Osos Valley Road and Highway 101. Firefighters contained the blaze to an area inside city fencing.
In the area, multiple homeless people have encampments.
