Abel Maldonado’s call to repeal Obamacare

STATEMENT BY ABEL MALDONADO

We are a nation built on the right to be free and the right to make choices for ourselves, and I believe that government should never force anyone to buy a service. The fundamental truth is that the American people want a health-care solution that expands access to care, preserves choice and lowers costs.

As it turns out, the ‘big gamble’ Rep. Lois Capps, D-Santa Barbara, voted to pass without knowing what was in it, was in reality, a big tax on millions of middle-class American families and seniors. The Supreme Court’s decision couldn’t be clearer: Obamacare is a tax and the Congress has the sole authority to repeal that tax. I support a bipartisan repeal and replace of the Obamacare tax.

Across the country, small businesses and working families are struggling to cope with the crippling effect of the Obamacare tax. I believe that health-care decisions should be made by patients, families and their doctors, not by Washington bureaucrats who have forced upon the American people a $525 billion tax increase, a $575 billion Medicare cut for seniors and a 9 percent increase in premiums for working Americans.

Abel Maldonado, R-Santa Maria,  is a former California lieutenant governor and current 24th Congressional District candidate.

Abel Maldonado, shame on you. You don’t give a hoot in h about “choices.”

The fact is that you don’t even care which way this goes; the POLICE STATE will win out in the end either way, as far as you are concerned.

Can’t you just taste the undreamed of wealth and power awaiting you, Abel? Of course, you can! You have sugar plums dancing in your head. If you don’t beat Capps, no worries! You can always go buy yourself some other soft government job somewhere until the next round comes up.

Being a politician means never having to say you are sorry that you lost an election.

According to the Associated Press article, published on 6/3/2012 in the San Jose MercuryNews.com article, “Calif. voters face redrawn ballot, new districts (http://tinyurl.com/72eowb4)

Democrats continue to have the largest share of California’s 17.1 million registered voters, with 43 percent, while Republican registration has slipped to 30 percent, according to state registration figures released Friday. But the fastest-growing segment of the electorate is made of voters who are not affiliated with any political party—now more than 21 percent.

The majority of voters (in California and across the nation) back the Affordable Health Care Act.

I just don’t see the strategy behind Maldonado’s position. The only group of voters this will make happy are the Tea Party. I don’t see the logic of Maldonado aligning himself with such a small group of fringe voters.

So, …”government should never force anyone to buy a service”, huh ?

What about parking spaces ? Sure, an individual can choose to not plunk the quarter in the meter, and run the risk that the meter person has the day off. But if not, you save a quarter and pay a $40 fine or more.

Plenty of other examples of “government” mandates from car insurance to wearing at least some clothes in public.

Watch now as businesses new and present scramble to get as many of the 46 million uninsured into their pool. At $100 average per year, that is $4.6 Billion dollars.

Remember, too that the demographic age-wise is early 20’s to 65. Typically healthy people .

You don’t have to use the parking space or drive a car. Maybe an example would help you:

Slowerfaster walks into service station to pay for gas.

Clerk: Would you like a pack of gum with that?

Slowerfaster: No, thank you.

Clerk: Ok, the tax on the gum is $2.50.

What a convoluted, contrived, conflated, contraption of wholesale claptrap !

Do you really have to think to make up such unadulterated nonsense ?

WAIT…don’t answer that !

It is beyond belief that this opinion actually came from someone running for congress.

Talk about saying whatever seems to be needed at the moment and playing all sides against each other.

With statements like this, he is making Capps seem more and more like Mother Teresa.

Abel should take a little closer look in the mirror and see where he came from – below the border.

And that the majority of people who will be helped by the Health Care provisions are of the same ilk.

He is for sale, to the highest bidder. His ego will never let him be anything else.

Don’t take the risk – Vote against Abel.

What is this guy ? A robot ? A ventriloquist’s DUMMY ?

Read ANY Republican’s ‘statement’ on the Supreme Court AFFIRMING the Costitutionality of OBAMACARE. They read practically IDENTICAL.

From Romney, to Bachmann to this joker Moldy-nachos…they are the same.

It’s like the Republicans running the show ( the ultra-rich puppet masters ) recruited all the idiot-savants they could find to just repeat their mindless slogans they whisper in their ears !

Joke of the day:

I am voting for Abel

Abel, I appreciate what you have done, personally and politically. But, you are on the wrong side of history and the wrong side of the aisle. Look at Romney flailing to appease the tea party and giving up his integrity to do it. You’ll have to do the same thing. I wish you well. This isn’t going to be pretty.

If you are so concerned about taxes, why don’t you pay your back taxes?

“former California lieutenant governor”

Full disclosure would also include that his former office was bought and paid for by his voting with the democrats on tax increase after stating otherwise.

Watch out for this guy, he is for sale

Aren’t they all?
