Dusty davis is my brother, he was wearing a helmet and full riding gear, and has been riding a motorcycle for close to 20 years.

Mike, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Nobody here should be offering anything but condolences.

To Mike, and all of Dusty’s friends and family,

I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Dusty on a project awhile ago – he did the website, I did the print – and I found him to be really talented and just a very nice person. He had a wonderful sense of design, very clean and elegant, in addition to good technical skills. It’s a terrible thing to lose someone this way. Rest in peace, Dusty.

Helmet?

Hitting a power pole on a motorcycle and you think a helmet might have saved him?

Since speed was not an issue and one report said he was sliding so I think yes it is possible a helmet might of helped.

Even if a helmet would not have helped in this case doesn’t it make sense to wear one anyway?
