Deputies nab North County serial burglar

Eric WebbSan Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Santa Margarita man Tuesday, who is accused of stealing more than $100,000 worth of property and committing at least 12 burglaries in North County.

Sheriff’s investigators received reports of burglaries in North County on Sunday and Monday and then located the suspect 44-year-old Eric Webb on Tuesday. Deputies searched Webb’s Santa Margarita home and discovered more than $100,000 worth of stolen property.

The stolen goods included jewelry, cameras, electronics, power tools and coins. Deputies managed to return stolen items to eight victims, but a large of amount property remains unclaimed.

Detectives arrested Webb on charges of burglary, possession of a controlled substance, a felon in possession of firearms and receiving stolen property. He remains in San Luis Obispo County Jail on $210,000 bail.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing.


I am glad he was caught. Just remember: under Proposition 47 he would be considered a nonviolent offender and these would only be misdemeanors, meaning no prison time. Vote NO on Proposition 47.
