Fatal crash in Arroyo Grande

An Oceano man was killed early Tuesday after his vehicle ran into a tree in rural Arroyo Grande, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 4 a.m., the man was driving south on Los Berros Road just south of Quailwood Lane at a high rate of speed when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. His 2015 Nissan crossed the double-yellow line and then drove of the road into a tree.
The man is not being identified pending notification of his next of kin. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The CHP suspects that alcohol was a factor in the crash, the CHP said.
