Cal Poly LargeThe organizer of a new Cal Poly student group calling for diversity and inclusivity on campus received a death threat. [KSBY]

On Monday, the SLO Solidarity sent a list of 41 demands to Cal Poly administrators. Group organizer Matt Klepfer received a death threat on Tuesday, Klepfer said.

University police are investigating the threat and searching for the person who sent it. Both police and Dean of Students Jean DeCoasta have been in contact with Klepfer.

In response to the death threat, about 100 members of SLO Solidarity demonstrated on campus Wednesday. The group plans to march again on Thursday at 11 a.m. The march will begin at the Kennedy Library.

Sudent Colleen Mayone said it is time that minorities on campus stood up and did something and that it is easy for privileged people on campus to ignore the issue.

Cal Poly administrators say they will propose policy changes before the current quarter ends later this month.

In today’s Cal Poly PC world…

If a Queer calls a Queer a Queer it’s OK…

But if a straight person calls a Queer a Queer it’s Hate Speech…

Same with the N-word…

These people sent the threat to themselves to get publicity. It worked.

Just like the threats at Kean University, where “activist” Kayla-Simone McKelvey created a twitter account and posted; “I will shoot every black woman and male I see at kean university” and “@keanuniversity theres a bomb on your campus”

Remember to these people the end justifies the means.

To the Cal Poly Administration that feels they have an obligation to address this “unregistered Club’s” demands. These are immature children, not responsible adults. They don’t get to call the shots. They are not a majority. They probably will never graduate as they are more concerned with fabricating a reality that is not the real world. They should be sent home. They do not deserve nor do they care about the value of a Cal Poly education. As a Cal Poly alumni and a California tax payer I am embarrassed that you would even take their moronic demands seriously.

Welcome to Fantsyland

I demand a job at Cal Poly, with a private office, starting salary of $300,000 per year, a four day work week and only 4 hours per day, free parking, free health insurance, 14 weeks of paid vacation, 32 sick days, 21 holidays, I only want students who are member of SLO solidarity a personal assistant who is neither white nor male, nor too tall. This is what it will take for me to feel safe and comfortable, anything less and i will hire a lawyer for discrimination.

You forgot the pension of 90% of your salary after 15 years of service in addition, paid health care for life. Thank you, I love my job!

As a staff member at Cal Poly…I demand a raise and I demand the right to kick the bully out of my office, I demand my own bathroom and I demand a treadmill in my space and I demand I demand I demand.

Wow did I grow up in the wrong time.

The demands amount to a stifling of free speech and an attempt to make everyone on campus conform to the protestors’ narrow social justice warrior viewpoint.

Don’t believe me? Well, at their protest the other day the students held placards stating things like “Hate speech is not free speech.” What the hell is hate speech and who gets to define it. Sounds like a slippery slope to Orwellian groupthink.

Regarding all the comments on this article…I never tire of hearing non-marginalized, mainstreamers of society continue to explain to those who have been marginalized in our society for hundreds of years how they don’t get it, they’re just whiners, its all in their head, their lookin’ for a free ride, blah blah blah. Man-splaining and White-splaining are terms i have heard before that allude to this. Do tell, priviliged white folks, especially privileged white males out there, do tell us how it is to be a person of color or LGBTQ, or a female in this society, i’m sure that you know how it really is out there, and these marginalized people are just crazy, or lazy, or bitter, or whatever it is…but the issue at hand certainly is not what they have been saying to us (sometimes screaming at us) for generations now, no it is definitely not that….let’s here some more whitemansplaining, tell us how it really is out there, i’m ready for more….

In what world are coddled, liberal social justice warrior students marginalized?

There are all kinds of advocates out there for homosexuals and minorities. They don’t seem marginalized.

I don’t hear anyone advocating for poor white people in places like Kern County or Appalachia. That may actually be a marginalized group.

are you racist against white men? I’m offended. Can I file a grievance with someone?

You’re right… these poor marginalized wretches who happen to be one of the very few lucky ones attending one of the richest, best institutions in one of the richest, best counties in one of the richest, best states in one of the richest best countries on the planet. How will they support themselves with only a degree from one of the most sought after institutions in the land?

Poor marginalized kids. No opportunity. No privilege. Why? WHY!!!???? Where’s Suzanne Somers? Where can I send my 22 cents a day to help?

Here’s some splaining: STUDY HARD. GET YOUR DEGREE. ENJOY THE ENSUING PRIVILEGES OF HARD WORK INSTEAD OF SQUANDERING TIME ON WHINING THROUGH AN OVER-SIZED MEGAPHONE (provided by a pandering media).

Sounds like you need to go to Missouri, they are going to have openings at this school since several parents are pulling their kids. Good luck and I wish you much sucess if you study hard and do the right thing. Notice how I did not ask for you were white/black, male/female, queer/heterosexual, smart/stupid. etc. You know why, I don’t care! I just want you to love this Country, appreciation and respect the freedoms you have at the cost of millions of our forces who also didn’t ask you the above questions, take the opportunities provided to you because of the taxes, love and hardwork of the people who have come before you. Just get off your pity train and do something constructive with your life and pay it forward like the generations before you!

I don’t care how you feel, about anything.

Death threat, right. Like the Kean University threats from Kayla-Simone McKelvey? Obviously an inside job to gain attention.

My first thought. The press swallowed it hook, line, and sinker.
