Oceano man found dead morning after crash

A 30-year-old Oceano man was found dead inside a pickup truck the morning after he drove down an embankment and slammed into a tree in rural Arroyo Grande. The CHP has identified the man as Gujer Sandhu Jr.
Sometime between 3:45 p.m. and 11:15 p.m on Tuesday., Sandhu was driving a Toyota Tundra on Los Berros Road west of Falcon Crest Drive when he drifted off the road for an unknown reason, slammed into the tree while driving down the embankment.
The truck eventually came to a rest at the bottom of the embankment.
Shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday, a person driving a semi-truck noticed the Toyota pickup and reported the crash. Responders found Sandhu dead at the scene. Sandhu was still wearing his seatbelt.
