San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Los Osos man Thursday who allegedly had thousands of photos and videos of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

Acting on information they had received about child pornography being downloaded and distributed from a computer at a home on the 1200 block of 2nd Street in Los Osos, detectives with the Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement team served a search warrant Thursday morning.

Detectives seized two computers and two hard drives, which sheriff’s officials say contained thousands of photos and videos of children engaged in sex acts. The images appeared to have been downloaded from the Internet and then distributed, a sheriff’s office news release states.

Deputies arrested Eric Edward Norman, 44, on one felony count of possession of child pornography and one felony count of distribution of child pornography. The county jail website does not list Norman as currently being in custody.

An investigation into the case is ongoing. Detectives are forensically analyzing the computers and hard drives for child porn.
