Adam Hill, your real race has just begun

An open letter to San Luis Obispo Supervisor Adam Hill:

Congratulations Adam! You’ve been elected to another term as a member of the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors for District 3. But having said that, we both know that yours was a victory of wrong over right, of special interests over the public interest and of fear over courage.

Despite your attempts to extort the business community and your long list of behavioral issues, a majority of the voters in your district don’t seem to mind that. While the bully has prevailed, your real race has just begun.

The lawsuits that have just started to plague you will continue to do so well into next year.

And don’t be surprised if the investigative agencies come back to haunt you on those attempts at extortion of the Home Builders Association. That the results of these legal endeavors might inflict a standing, high profile elected official will be far sweeter than had you lost the election.

The Tribune, your principled constituents, your fellow board members, and the others who actually voted for you will come to regret your reelection. Enjoy it while you can.

Good luck buddy. You’re going to need it!

To those who claim “sour grapes”, those grapes are going to turn sweet sooner than you think.

Never underestimate the hive mentality of the ignorant. Politicians FEED on that. It is not money that ruins politics, it is the ignorance of the voter. Is there anyone here who like Hill? Were any of you swayed by mailers, commercials, and all things paid for with money? Could Adam Hill have used five times the amount spent on propaganda to sway your vote? Then clearly, money is not the issue (unless it is used to bribe vote counters, poll workers, etc).


Crying to “get money out of politics” is absurd and stupid. What people should be crying for is the complete and total collapse of the education system, pop culture, and everything else that encourages stupidity, ignorance and lack of complex thought.


There is a reason democrats pander to the low-IQ and the highly indoctrinated, it’s a formula that generally works.

Adam won the election and that is the outcome civilized people need to accept. If I could have voted in that district, Dan would have been my choice. The reality is that the profiteers have a greater reach due to their legal form of selfishness. Build, build, build and let the traffic created get priority on the highway funds, the same funds that north county won’t get.

The day will come when the Feds finally catch up with slick Adam Torrez Hill and he won’t be so bold and pushy then.
