Supervisor Adam Hill

San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors Chair Adam Hill again failed to appear at a board meeting, making neither a physical nor virtual appearance on Tuesday.

At Tuesday’s board meeting, supervisors Debbie Arnold, Lynn Compton and John Peschong attended in person. Supervisor Bruce Gibson participated in the meeting electronically.

Currently, the public is barred from attending board of supervisors meetings because of the coronavirus outbreak. However, the meetings are being held as scheduled, with the public permitted to watch online and submit comments ahead of time.

Hill stopped attending meetings or returning phone calls on March 11, the day the FBI raided his office located in the County Government Center.

As the chair of the SLO County Board of Supervisors, Hill is expected to take a leadership role. By law, some orders are required to be signed by the board chair, unless he is unavailable.

Last week, county staff searched for Hill in attempt to have him sign the county’s shelter at home order. The order notes that because Hill was unavailable, the emergency services director signed the document.

It is unclear when, or if, Hill plans to take an active role as the chair of the SLO County Board of Supervisors.

Heidi Harmon is drooling at the prospect of a a big salary and full benefits for her useless partisan activist ambitions. Gavin Newsom will probably need a restraining order when Hill finally dumps.

I thought someone said Harmon lives in District 2, wouldn’t she would have to move into the District 3 to be appointed to Hill’s seat, but then again it wouldn’t be the first time an official violated the rules and lived in one area and held a seat for another, remember Alan Settle and his student flop house in Laguna Lake area?

I believe she is still in the 3rd. In any case she, or anyone else, is welcome to pick up their mail at my place for a small monthly charge…

Not a “flop house”, a nice place with good Poly kids renting. He just didn’t live there and the kids didn’t mind him using it as a mail drop.

It’s hard to attend board meetings when you are recuperating in Cabo San Lucas.

Covid-19 man, if you have an internet connection you can attend the meeting. Paso city council held a meeting with the only member under 65 in person and the rest, as well as many public comments, on the “Internets”.

Usually employees who don’t show up for work, and don’t notify their employers get FIRED.

That’s only in the private sector. In the public sector often you can still receive full salary plus benefits for several months or even years without showing up for work, sometimes they call it an “investigation”.

Where o’ where is Adam Hill?

I think we need a wellness check!

To the 3rd District voters who supported Hill: Congratulations. You’ve gotten what you deserve. It’s time for the Board to strip him of his Chairmanship and move on…

dereliction of duty…

He’s been “DownHill” for many years. How is it people still vote for him?

I would love to know what happened when the local police visited him at his home!

What do you expect when the bulk of his voter base have no real ties to the community, just give them free stuff and pot and they’ll vote for you is Hill’s tactic.

And not a public statement from his tax payer paid staff.

Wondering now if his staff is also tangled up in the FBI investigation?

It’s high time to stop his overly generous paycheck & benefits. He’ll be living high off the horse on permanent disability soon. It’s his escape hatch at taxpayer expense. He’d be there if the FBI raid hadn’t happened.
