San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Adam Hill’s administrative assistant accused the supervisor of sexual misconduct shortly before he committed suicide on Aug. 6, according to multiple sources aware of the allegations.

Nicole Nix took over as Hill’s administrative assistant several years ago, after a previous assistant accused Hill of harassment, according to county sources. Hill and Nix regularly left work together, often driving in the same car.

Last year, a neighbor provided photos of Hill’s car parked throughout the night at Nix’s home. Hill did not respond to questions about allegations he was dating Nix, and why he often stayed overnight at her home.

County administrators are investigating the allegations, which could lead to a financial settlement for Nix. Aside from a press release, the county is not planning on releasing any further information about the allegations at this time.

“The county treats allegations of workplace misconduct very seriously,” according to the county press release. “We can confirm that allegations of workplace misconduct were made against Supervisor Adam Hill prior to his passing, and the county immediately initiated a formal investigation.”

CONFIDENTIAL TO TRIBUNE’S MATT FOUNTAIN AND NEW TIMES’ PETER JOHNSON:

Ask County Counsel Rita Neal about Hill’s private sex tapes and the Internet. And don’t let her lie to you.

Last week, I wondered if AH supporters were still loyal and proud of their vote. I asked that if they were still supporters, that they respond and add their names in the comments section.

Surprise! I don’t see any supporters lining up.

You’re looking in the wrong place.

Look at this face and you have to wonder what woman would find that attractive – but he probably held substantial power over them – possibly similar to Harvey Weinstein or Jeffery Epstein.

I have to agree that the FBI was not just investigating his sexual habits or fantasies; but some of this was being uncovered while the real investigation was going on.

Hill knew it and couldn’t do anything about it. His ego prevented him from facing the music of his deeds – and so he took the only way out.

Hopefully, but a little doubtful, the FBI investigation will be completed and made public. Everyone in SLO county needs to understand just what was going on and who was doing it. This is mandatory, if we want to believe our governments are transparent.

Rita Neal has probably already negotiated the payoff. That’s what she does. If the County actually wanted honest legal representation it would be contracted.

It might be because he and his partners were into filming each other in very odd positions not able to be published XXX rated. Porn and underage girls not good, then filming each other in raunchy positions and posting them.

Check out “Seeking Arrangement” site several County and a few City people are on it ! as well as other underground sites. I can only assume the Fed’s got all the thumb drives, videos, disk’s cells, texts and pictures as well i would expect more names to come out on the who’s who’s list of some very bizarre things . Remember all calls, emails, texting, Go-Phones, even the encrypted phones computers, buying Throw away phones can all be TRACED…nothing is ever gone or deleted forever.

N.Nix told the FBI only a portion of it all

More shoes to drop… wait for it, wait for it…

I seriously doubt the FBI’s interest was Hill’s sexual dalliances. That’s a county matter. There should be much more to come for his legacy.

Coincidental discovery during warranted electronic surveillance.

When Hill was put on notice by the county counsel, after being released from a mental health facility, it was the final straw.

I have no idea if the allegations are true; there is always a grain of truth to these things. Let’s not forget the David Edge/Gail Wilcox drama from over a decade ago. When someone is about to lose their job, they often look for a way to get some money out of their employer before they go.

If Hill has been indicted, tried and convicted of influence peddling and income tax evasion he would have been removed from office and Nix would have been sent down the road since she is an at will employee.

Fidelity to the voters requires putting them above personal interest. Moral integrity demands this of our elected representatives and appointed county officers in equal measure.

Elected Supervisors, and other County officials seem to need the rule of law in order to put the interests of their constituents above their own personal interests. This is not a partisan issue, it is an issue of character.

Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines nepotism as favoritism (as in appointment to a job) based on kinship. Clearly the definition in our County needs to be extended to include (Oh My) folks who exchange in or extract sexual favors. The County Counsel has reputedly asserted on multiple occasions that private personal sexual exchanges by consenting adults (working in county positions – no pun intended) violates no law. Even when a Supervisor openly votes on a pay raise that benefits the Supervisor’s known sexual partner, the County Counsel and other Supervisors seemingly see nothing.

We all understand that voting to give a spouse, child, brother, or parent a county salary or raise is immoral, illegal and a violation of fidelity to voter’s interest. The quality of their work is obscured by the strength of their family relationship. There is no excuse for Supervisors, County Counsel, or other Department managers deciding to pay, or raise the pay, or to make excused for payment to some person related by blood, marriage or by providing sexual favors for a Supervisor or Department Manager.

There is nothing difficult to understand here. Leadership on the Board of Supervisors would overcome this travesty by writing and adopting an ordinance outlawing, with criminal and financial penalties, nepotism when it comes to relatives and when it comes to sexual partners of Supervisors

on an equal & uniform basis.

Years ago I learned that while it is improper for a public official to put his or her spouse on the public payroll, there seems to be nothing to prevent an officer to find public employment for the never married boyfriend or girlfriend who is a parent of his children.
