Man jumps from SLO parking garage, kills himself

November 17, 2020

A grey-haired man with a blue mask jumped from a San Luis Obispo parking garage on Tuesday afternoon, killing himself.

The man jumped from the parking garage across the street from SLO City Hall, into a SLO County parking lot in back of the  structure. Both SLO County Sheriff deputies and SLO officers are on the scene.

The coroner has not yet arrived. Officers have covered the body with a yellow tarp.

Sadly this will be a common occurrence during these hard times. As long as we have people promoting hate and discontent, read the news, those who are really suffering may find death to be the path of least resistance. Why can’t we just be grateful and not promote selfishness. I’m proud to be Hispanic and if I were Afro or Asian maybe even better. That said, life is best and what you do with it is entirely up to YOU. To the jumper, R.I.P. and God have mercy on your soul.

As long as we have people promoting hate and discontent…

Yeah, like the BLMers (headlined by Mizz Arrata locally), ANTIFArs, etc.

This picture –that some are criticizing, is pretty interesting. Anyone notice how far the body is from the ledge that he supposedly fell/jumped from?

That is what struck me…? I wonder if it has something to do with the manner I. Which the photo was taken? The victim appears, from the photo. To have landed far away from the perimeter of the structure.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that someone committing suicide would decide to wear a mask?

Covid isn’t the only think killing people.

The lockdowns have significantly impacted suicide rates.

Social distancing and masks do not protect people apparently.

May you rest in eternal peace, sir…

See, the mask and social distancing did nothing still died of the rona!

Don’t quit your day job

40 years ago this person could have been receiving help after a court-ordered commitment to a low-security mental health facility, Patton State Hospital in Southern California or Agnew State Hospital in Northern California, not Atascadero or Coalinga, but a dormitory setting. This proceeding could be initiated by a prosecutor, a social service worker, or a family member and based on the individual’s inability to care for themselves. It would have to be approved by a judge and could be contested or appealed. A coalition of Democrats and Republicans in California turned them all out onto the streets for their varying reasons. The Republicans think they’re saving money and them Democrats love their jobs in the homeless industry, government money without government accountability, and political advocacy for society’s ills to be in the face of the average innocent citizen wanting a modest quality of life.

Some subjects are better left without bipartisan political finger-pointing. Besides, these issues are left to the individual states, not one party or another.

I’m not so sure we need to report this kind of “news”. It doesn’t help anybody. Rest easy, sir.

Especially not the picture.
