Please join me in voting for Kamala Harris for president

Vice President Kamala Harris

OPINION by MARC BRAZIL

The 2024 presidential election is perhaps the most consequential since the Civil War. There have been many presidential contests over the last several decades where Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conservatives have lamented our choices but at least the candidates were in the range of normal. This time our choice might well determine whether we remain a nation of laws, a nation where our liberties are not in jeopardy.

I am a conservative Republican who until now has never voted for a Democrat. While I disagree with many of the policies advocated by Kamala Harris, I fear that Donald Trump will inflict great harm on our nation. Harris has made clear that she will consider differing points of view while Trump has made clear that his way is the only course.

No presidential candidate in the modern age has so set on dividing us rather than uniting us.

Trump’s lack of character is breathtaking. The constant lies, attacks on his fellow citizens and idolization of our adversaries disqualify him from serving.

Many Trump supporters explain away his vile behavior and cruel statements by suggesting that he is just kidding. I fail to see the humor. This man represents a grave threat to the United Sates. The Founding Fathers must be rolling over in their graves as are the millions of Americans who have risked their lives to advance the promise of America.

His threat to use the military to go after his political opponents, his obscene behavior toward many women and his demonization of illegal immigrants are unconscionable.

I agree that we need to reform immigration laws but let’s keep in mind that the overwhelming majority of people here illegally or trying to get here are doing so because they view the United States as a beacon of hope. They like all of us just want a better life for themselves and their families. Trump’s never ending lies about them being criminals or eating pets are outrageous and do nothing to help create conditions for policy reform.

Trump’s economic policy is based on a foundation of tariffs, to be imposed on both allies and adversaries. The reality is that the American consumer will pay the tariffs. He has also made misleading statements that the tariffs will allow for the elimination of the federal income tax. There is no basis in reality for this claim.

According to an economic analysis comparing Harris and Trump’s economic proposals published by the University of Pennsylvania (Trump’s alma mater), his plan would add nearly $8 trillion to the federal deficit while hers would add nearly $4 trillion.

Trump’s plan to deport millions of illegal immigrants would wreck havoc on the economy and be highly inflationary.

On foreign policy matters the power and influence of the United States would almost certainly decline as Trump would likely sell out Ukraine’s independence and be prey to the influence of Putin, Xi and the obese Korean dictator.

Please join me in voting for Kamala Harris for president. God Bless America.

Nope. You can’t gaslight me and convince me to vote for one candidate by name calling and attacking the character of the other. Kamula is totally fake and controlled. They can’t hide it anymore. What positive things has she and Biden done? Name one.

TRUMP 2024 all the way!

My fellow Americans, It’s time to face the facts: MAGA is almost OVER. But

let’s be real here, did MAGA ever really exist in the first place? Was it ever

anything more than a grifting fever dream, a twisted fantasy foisted by criminals

upon a group of people who couldn’t handle the reality of a changing world?

Yes the majority of the people and electoral votes.

Again, like I show in my comment at this link, the Electoral College renders California Republican votes completely meaningless.

Trump will be blown out, AGAIN (third time), today in California. Already guaranteed.

Look, if you have the slightest knowledge of how vote statistics work, you know that if a candidate loses by 7-8 percentage points, that’s a decisive lose. In the teens, like 17 – 18 percent? That’s a “why did we even do this” situation.

In 2020, Trump lost Cali by almost 30 points! What a joke!

Joe Biden 11,110,250, 63.5% — Donald Trump, 6,006,429, 34.3%

That’s more than 6 million (!) Republican votes that didn’t count for squat, and the EXACT same thing is going to happen today.

Someone needs to explain to me why California Republicans aren’t absolutely hammering away, everywhere, to get the Electoral College abolished, and, instead, go with nationwide popular vote.

The Electoral College makes California Republican Presidential Votes — 6 million of them! — completely meaningless.

How is that not massively frustrating for California Republican voters?

No comprendo.

Lol… This article reeks of desperation. If you are voting for Kamala, you are NOT a conservative. Just come out of the closet already and be honest with yourself

Believe it or not there ARE conservatives, including many die hard Republicans in my family who won’t for Trump because quite frankly, he is extremely unprofessional. I certainly wouldn’t hire him as a CEO. And he would be wealthier today if he had simply taken his inheritance and left it in a mutual fund.

Many of us are voting for Chase Oliver.. a few for Kamala.

A vote for third party is a vote for Kamala. Republicans need to get over “he is extremely unprofessional”. Who cares? Samuel Mangold-Lenett was right when he said Republicans would rather be beautiful losers. Like it or not, the establishment Republicanism is dead (Trump killed it). What you are seeing now is just the thrashing of the dead dragon. And I am absolutely here for it.

LOL funny because my Democrat friends insist a vote for 3rd party is a vote for Trump. However, that’s not how voting works. A vote for a 3rd party is a vote for 3rd party. Stop getting brainwashed by the corporate uniparty.

Trump is not some outsider. Stop believing that nonsense.

There might come a time when voting for a 3rd party is a viable option, but today is not that day.

I agree Donald Trump has deep personal and behavioral failings. I wish he would shut up most of the time. The first time, I held my nose and voted against Hillary Clinton and for a Supreme Court dedicated to following the Constitution and not making up laws that were never passed by Congress.

However, I remember things were RELATIVELY peaceful and prosperous for the country. depspite his opponents’ dire predictions and shenanigans going on the minute he was elected. And yes, they were engineered and proved, My military son-in-law dourly thought Trump would cause war in the mideast, just as he was deployed to Bahrain. Didn’t happen. When Joe took office, mideast chaos immediately insued with the disastrous Afganistan withdrawal.

Kamala Harris, however, has slid into this new role with NO primary vote after she and the handlers (who have been running Biden for quite some time nowl) engineered his exit from the race too late for much else. She was so universally disliked the first time around she dropped out after winning zero primaries. She was viewed as an extreme leftist, with good reason, judging from her past actions in California and in the Senate.

She cannot speak unscripted. She avoids press conferences where she cannot control the questions. She has changed her message for every audience. There are videos of her talking down on Israel in heavily-Muslim towns in Michigan at the same time supportive videos are running in Pennsylvania. She is vacuous and slippery. One of my “favorite” Kamala moments is when she was running the first time and brought up this fake story of her being an underprivileged black girl on the bus on her way to school: “I was that girl!” This was intended to point out Biden’s racist voting patterns during his eternity in Congress. Later, after he picked her as VP (!!!) she was asked about that moment, and how could she work with him? Her laughing answer was repeated many times with no clarification: “It was a debate!!! It was a debate!!” In other words, truth is irrelevant. The point is to say anything in order to win.I can’t stand it. And I am still holding my nose.

I’m not in love with Harris, I think she is probably a below replacement politician, but I really hope you take a deep look at Trump. If you’re concerned about Kamala being able to speak coherently Trump is objectively a worse choice – he is incapable of talking about policy and his ramblings are total nonsense (funny sometimes, but that’s not a super important quality for POTUS). You have to hold them to the same standards. Same with flip flopping – there are almost literally zero issues Trump hasn’t slipped back and forth on, he has no consistency other than telling people in the room what they want to hear. You know he’s a serial liar, he lies even when he doesn’t have to, it stinks! And it’s always worth remembering that Biden’s Afghanistan failure is shared by Trump who negotiated that farcical peace deal, Obama who escalated, and Bush for pursuing a nation building campaign in a failed state. They all deserve blame. It’s also worth pointing out that fewer Americans have died in combat during Biden’s 4 years than Trump’s 4 years.

Lastly unless you make over 400k per year, Trump is going to raise your taxes and will boost inflation – that’s what tarrifs and interest rate manipulation will do.

Certainly not voting for the pornstar affair having, federal crime committing, over 75 years old pos. Hard pass.

A little electioneering here this election morning?… Okay… if you vote for Kamala you will get what you deserve… hasn’t the last 4 years shown you what you will get?…

Every election has become the “most important of our lifetimes” to those who tie their fate to whatever politicians lies they most believe. We haven’t had a president for at least 2 of the past 4 years. Has it mattered?

What I don’t understand is how people can support the trump when the stream of word salad is so full of untruths and full stop lies all the time?

If you went to buy a used car could trump sell you one, it will be the greatest deal, right?

Just like Biden, trump is too old for the demands of the job, we deserve better.

Here was a segment from just this past Sunday:

>As the former president has become increasingly freewheeling in his rally speeches, he’s repeatedly outlined his “weave” method of speechifying—but Sunday’s rally was possibly the most unhinged explanation of it yet. “I’m a very smart person, you know they’ve refused it, now they’re seeing, ‘that was the most brilliant speech,’” he said as he described his method.

>“They’re saying it’s a weave, you go, and then you’re here,” he added while signaling a wavy line in the air with his hands. “And then you’re here. And then what happens is while you’re here, there’s a point having to do with that point and you go wing, wing. Then you come here, then you do another weave, hee, hee, hee. It’s very complex but then it gets very simple because it all comes brilliantly and beautifully together.”

>At the Sunday rally in Pennsylvania, he explained that he looked bad on television because of the protective glass panels. He also returned to his fascination with genetics. “I’m a pretty smart guy,” he told the crowd. “I have genetic—Do you believe in genetics? I do, you know. Fast race horses produce fast race horses whether you like it or not, and, uh, but I’m uh I’m a very, uh, I, I believe in it.”
