August 2, 2010
A dispute in Grover beach on south 13th Street has left one man recovering from gashes to his head and arms and police searching for the man suspected of the machete attack.
At approximately 9:30 Saturday night, 34-year-old Damaso Labra allegedly entered the victim’s home and without saying a word, began hacking at him with a black machete. Earlier in the day, Labra and the victim had physically fought one another.
Labra’s brother attempted to break up the altercation and was also injured.
Police said Labra is considered armed and dangerous. He has brown eyes, black hair, is about 5’3″ and 170 pounds. Labra was last seen driving a faded red Buick with tinted windows.
Arroyo Grande Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call them at (805) 473-4511.
