Hill concerned with “local fringe”

January 16, 2013

adam hillSan Luis Obispo County Supervisor Adam Hill is requesting citizen input about a “local fringe.”

Last week, Hill appointed human resources consultant Betsey Nash to the county Civil Service Commission. Prior to the appointment, the Coalition of Labor, Agriculture and Business criticized Nash for stating that supervisors should provide county employees more fair treatment and increased management recognition.

Hill called the COLAB critique a “political smear” in an email sent Tuesday. The email referenced a Tribune article discussing commission appointments and the COLAB report.

“Let me know if you are disturbed by this and other recent doings engineered from our local fringe,” Hill wrote.

While the email did not mention COLAB by name, Hill has attacked the organization in the past, most notably when he accused COLAB of racism for hosting a comedian who impersonated President Barack Obama.

After the release of Hill’s emails describing COLAB as a racist organization, Hill told the Tribune he was done fighting publicly with COLAB.

But, Hill’s email about the “local fringe” comes after COLAB led a successful campaign to prevent Hill from becoming president of the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments.

Hill, who is currently vice president of the county Air Pollution Control District, will have to overcome the fallout from another scathing email he sent in order to become the district’s 2013 president. California Attorney General Kamala Harris is including Hill’s November 2012 email attack on state parks in her suit against the air district over its Oceano Dunes Dust Rule.

Awww….go easy on the little man.

Maybe he wrote this latest rude e-mail BEFORE his pacifying beard had grown in. Sure, he WAS a bully at one time, but hey! It’s 2013 and now Mr. Pacifying Beard has turn over a new leaf! Right? ;)

Hill and Gibson are our “local fringe”. I am concerned.

Hill is not worthy of respect, he seems to have delusions of importance opposite of those who elected him.

His behavior continues to be anti social evidenced by his fits of anger against anyone who disagrees with him.

He signed a Morals agreement he doesn’t adhere to, falsely claimed to be someone else & has disparaged others with inappropreate remarks.

He should be recalled; if he had an ounce of morals he would step down. 100 years ago he would have been run out of town for things he has said & done while in office.

@ debeddebed – Only after the Sheriff found his backbone!

You elected him. You got him. You deserve him.

Actually I definitely didn’t elect him but I unfortunately did get him and I surely don’t deserve him.

I hope this lunatic doesn’t own a gun.

I think that it is becoming more apparent everyday that Mr. Hill needs some professional help. His current squeeze, Ms. Torres, has indicated that there appears to be an increase with mental illness issues in our county. Maybe Mr. Hill should take a leave of absence and let Ms. Torres administer some help from CAPSLO and hopefully set him on the correct path to sanity.

Hill’s a nut. It’s too bad he keeps drawing attention to himself because when he is on the mark about something, no one will listen to anything he’s barking about.

So I guess the beard didn’t help. Hill will never change and I’m not willing to blame it on New Jersey.

Last I checked, COLAB, which I know little about, can express their opinions as they wish. If Hill can’t take criticism for himself or his appointees, he’s in the wrong job. Well, I knew that.

“Let me know if you are disturbed by this and other recent doings engineered from our local fringe,”, askes Mr Hill………. I am more concerned with Mr Hill and his recent doings, and his attitudes, especially those that benefit his “special friend”
