Grover Beach house catches on fire

GroverBeachFireA fire occurred at a Grover Beach house Friday night at the corner of Brighton Ave. and North 4th St.

The fire began around 10:20 p.m., according to the Five Cities Fire Authority. There were no injuries.

More than twenty firefighters from the Five Cities Fire Authority and Cal Fire responded to put out the flames. Each fire agency brought two engines, and the Fire Authority also brought a fire truck.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

One of the few benefits of being a corner lot: you can park five fire trucks along the street and solidly hit two sides straight on.


I’m curious if there are fire dept. statistics on that… anyway, a bit off topic.

More uninformed conjecture.


It got really cold, even hailed earlier. Might an oft used heating system suddenly go kerplunk under duress ?

Why not wait for an official determination, before you go making unfounded assumptions / accusations ?


Or is that too hard ?
