Rural Morro Bay home catches fire

A fire broke out at a barn adjacent to a rural Morro Bay home early Thursday morning, and the blaze spread into the house.
Cal Fire received a report of the blaze at 1:17 a.m. Thursday. Firefighters responded to 1407 Creek Road, outside of Morro Bay city limits, where they found flames in both the barn and the residence.
A third structure also caught fire. The damage caused by the fire totaled $100,000.
Residents were home at the time of the fire, but officials did not report any injuries.
The Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo city fire departments assisted in extinguishing the blaze.
