Baby on board in high-speed chase in Guadalupe

carA baby girl survived a high-speed police chase that ended in a rollover collision Thursday in Guadalupe. [KSBY]

Police said Guadalupe resident Angel Lopez allegedly stole a Toyota minivan in San Luis Obispo County. Officers spotted the minivan shortly before 11:30 a.m. in Guadalupe and attempted to pull it over.

Lopez fled from police with his girlfriend and the approximately 1-year-old baby in the car.

A witness said Lopez raced down Tognaazini Avenue and through the yard of a home before hitting an electrical wire. The vehicle then flipped and landed on its side.

Officers said they found the baby girl safe in the woman’s arms and Lopez hiding in the back seat. The baby did not suffer any obvious injuries but was taken to hospital as precaution.

Police say the baby was in a car seat when the crash occurred. Still, Lopez and his girlfriend could each face charges of felony child endangerment.

Lopez, who was on parole at the time of the incident, suffered a broken collarbone in the crash.

Global warming? We’re worried about the extinction of mankind? We deserve a swift exit from this planet. Maybe with our demise we can give all the other creatures a chance. I have only been following this news site for about 9 months, but it seems like well over 50 percent of the crimes or ‘alleged crimes’ are committed by people with Latino surnames. Am I correct?

I’m laughing, just laughing ruefully at the society. We all deserve the crime in our streets, the disarray of public finance and pensions, and a President who arrogantly laughs off and denies the Tuesday mandate to cease and desist his extreme policies……..he’s going to misuse his “case by case” constitutional powers to legalize en bloc five million border jumpers.


It’s so pathetic and failed, one just has to laugh at it all.
