Person killed in San Luis Obispo crash

ambulanceOne person died in a rollover car crash on Northbound Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo Monday morning.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the crash around 8:30 a.m. near the Prado Road offramp. The vehicle rolled off the highway after the driver lost control of the car.

Officials say the collision was a single-car crash, but have not released further details. Authorities have yet to identify the victim.

Traffic flow resumed to its normal pace on Highway 101 prior to 10 a.m.

This is too bad. I saw the car as it was being loaded onto the tow truck; it was torn open like a beer can. There are no guarantees in this life, so think about what you’re grateful for and tell your loved ones that you love them. It can all be over in an instant.


Seems like the Central Coast has been above average for vehicle and bicycle fatalities of late!

Be careful out there!


It’s just too bad that highways were built for automobiles, and not bicycles. It’s like bringing a toothpick to a gun fight when something goes awry.
