The Biden/Brandon and Brown/Newsom administration is trying to force the populous to buy into alternative energy everything which they have heavily invested in …The higher any fuels price is the tax charged helps pay for too much too fast transitions to alternative energy …Products of all kinds the higher the price more tax collected again ….all this overburdening the populous wallets pays for these administrations future voter base with handouts in every direction ten fold ….a person could go on and on …..The media says Port constipation is caused by lack of storage lack of drivers etc etc ….when in reality during covid the most intense emission rules in USA came into full effect in California on big trucks ….so truckers and trucking took their businesses outside of California …they can drive their older payed for trucks for 100s of thousands miles more in other states and the cost of fuel is even a little more affordable …its a truck and trucking company shortage only in Calif ….Made in USA would really help things out also

“a person could go on and on” Paragraphs please.

“old man yells at future clouds.jpg”

The sun and wind are not the future…they are the past….windmills and clotheslines…

Sun and wind are nearly eternal.

Set aside what we think in this country because we now have a president that is a global thinker and his buds in Europe and elsewhere pay much more for fuel. They all think of us as the wealthiest country and should pay our share to solve their problems and with today’s leadership we will pay that plus more. It is a very small planet these days and in many ways our hypocrisy, exporting the manufacturing of what we buy here, will come full circle with long term consequences.

Its going to be a very cold Christmas this year for the people of the United States….unless you are an elected official….I can’t believe the Biden administration is thinking about shutting down yet another pipeline just before winter kicks in….if Joe was trying to harm America how would his actions over the last year look different?…..I submit they wouldn’t look different at all….

Unfortunately, it takes electricity to fuel an electric car. That is a commodity that is completely unreliable in California. Biden has a lot of debts to pay, OPEC is at the top of the list. Hang on to your hats boys and girls, it’s going to sting until at least the midterms.

“That is a commodity that is completely unreliable in California”

My power has not shut off for more the 4 hours in many years, so bullshit.

Oh , well it must be true then since your power has not been “shut off.”

If you had read the previous comments you would understand the “commodity that is completely unreliable” is in fact very reliable in our area.

Instead you want to be insulting, how mature.

I payed $3.17 a gallon on January 7th of this year. This past weekend I payed $4.67 a gallon. That’s a $1.50 increase in less than ten months. With the increase in gas prices and groceries alone, I’m paying $200.00 a week for single person. Thanks to the hapless Biden and Newsom Progressive/Socialist administrations, things will only grow worse due to their complete incompetence and lack of accountability and leadership. “Let’s go ………..” to both of them

So you think the administration raised gas prices? Now you want them to lower the gas prices like a socialist country, so you are against a free market and want the government to control commodity prices?

Sounds like socialism, that’s my jesus.

Also:“Let’s go ………..” to both of them” You first hater.

The policies of these administrations absolutely led to the increase in gas prices. Please, pull your blinded ideology head out of the sand. It was the Biden Regime that caused our nation to go from oil and energy independent, to begging to those in other countries to bail us out now. All in less than ten months. Newsom’s and his comrades control the taxes on the price of gallon of gas in California. Is it not the results of him and the Socialist thieves that have ran this state for years? Is not their gas tax policies responsible for the high gas prices here?

Rather you like it or not, they are both Progressive/Socialist Regimes that are looking to control every aspect of the energy market. I’m not against a free market at all, but the actions of these that you defend are.

And yes, you are correct. I detest both of these lifetime lying politicians who have become wealthy by feeding off the taxpayer, while deceiving, stealing and promoting Socialist agenda’s that are quickly destroying our freedoms and quality of life. Keep drinking the bitter sap of those you defend.

No, we want the administration to get back into supporting domestic energy production, like we had before Brandon.

“Socialism…”. nice try comrade

America is producing more energy than ever before with a little covid dip.

But you want the government to pay to pump more oil? “supporting domestic energy production” means a tax break or some other free money/tax credit for the oil corporations that already get plenty at the trough.

Again with the insults and more bs to add to the list like swift boat, birth certificate, her emails, the lost laptop, more bs that went nowhere.

Solar Panels + Electric Car = Never have to visit a skanky gas station again.

Sheet…We had solar at our last house. Cost the PO about $25K to have it installed. Our other place is solar free and the bill is about $10 a month difference but then again we dont live in Commiefornia anymore either. What ya gonna do when you need a $5000 battery for that Primus?

Cost the PO about $25K to have it installed.

And today the equity that’s added to the home value is 2x the install — especially when you consider the current occupant can charge their car for free and skip the gas station.

Increased home value and free fuel is a win win. That’s how you play the “long game.”

What ya gonna do when you need a $5000 battery

If you’ve owned the car for long enough (~15 years) that the battery needs replacement, putting away $25 a month into the change jar would have covered the cost. Meanwhile the average driver in CA is spending 10x that in gas each month.

Guess who saves more money in the end? I know, I know, “math iz hard” — but here’s a spoiler, electric by a landslide.

Bonus: you won’t have to pray for the government to control fuel prices like some self-loathing socialist.

How many people do you know that make enough money to buy a electric car and put a $25,000 solar system on their house? If they can then they make more money than most and this extra cost really doesn’t affect them like it does the majority of the people

Sesloc will give you a “sustainable loan” (for eco-friendly projects) for 6.49% over 144 months (12 years). That’s a $250 a month payment and you are getting electricity for your home and your vehicle.Meanwhile, most people are paying $250 for gasoline each month plus another $120 for their electric bill. Do I think most people I know can afford to save $120 a month? Sure.

Electric cars are the same price (or cheaper) as the gas guzzlers out there. If someone can afford a car that runs on gas, they can just as easily afford a car that runs on electric. BMW i3’s with less than 50k miles can be purchased for under $12k nowadays.

It’s literally cheaper to get a loan for solar panels and drive an electric car, than it is to pay for gasoline and electricity — it just takes a little effort, but most people aren’t willing to put in effort. They’d rather get gouged and complain.

Not everyone has good credit for these deals! Not everyone has a mommy and daddy to back them. Welcome to the real world!

Capitalism separates the wheat from the chaff. Better to pick oneself up by the bootstraps.

Both of these items are fine as a add on but neither will stand alone and replace fossil fuel. What runs most of the power plants to create electricity and not to many solar panels work well on cloudy days or at night.

Putting solar panels on your house and driving an electric car have nothing to do with replacing fossil fuel. Just like home gardening isn’t going to replace fast food. In both instances, you’re taking the free-energy of the sun and using it to power yourself — instead of paying a corporation to give you power.

We were gas/oil independent now we have a president groveling to OPEC to pump more oil. Tired of inflation, high crime, racist progressive liberals, high taxes , no freedom , time to vote Republican.

Uncle Joe is as stupid as it comes. Ten months ago we were exporting fuel to other countries now we are begging countries that hate us to fill our allotment and they are saying “no”. Get a clue, ask the gas producing states to step up (we don’t need the foreign entities. Get back to fuel independence.

Voters chose the stupid fuel tax increase, Newsome, Biden, and then Newsome again so it’s clearly a case of reap what you sow.

“The government you elect is the government you deserve.”

-Thomas Jefferson-

True but but unfortunately the idiots who who voted yes on gas tax hike and Newsom made everyone suffer. If it only affected them then they could own it without making others suffer by their mistakes

Just seems like ifyou are not a progressive your vote doesn’t count in California.
