Cal Poly student wins big on “Wheel of Fortune”
May 14, 2010
Fourth year Biology major Katie Berger shouldn’t have any problem paying tuition after winning nearly $50,000 on TV’s “Wheel of Fortune.” [KSBY]
The Cal Poly student won $49,493 in cash and prizes in an episode that aired locally Thursday night. Berger spun her way past two competitors into the Bonus Round, which she solved in a matter of seconds.
Berger is an Honors student and campus ambassador with an uncanny ability to predict the future. On her Facebook page, the young woman wrote “My favorite show is Wheel of Fortune. I love it. My friend painted me a picture of Pat and the Wheel for my birthday and I LOVE it. My New Year’s resolution is to get on the show.”
