Turkey vulture shuts down Cuesta College
October 25, 2012
A turkey vulture striking a power line on Thursday caused San Luis Obispo Cuesta College campus officials to cancel evening classes because of a power outage.
Power was lost to parts of the campus at 3:30 p.m. and the entire campus at 4:30 p.m. Campus police were stationed at the college entrances to alert students of the issue.
Cuesta officials said the electricity has been fully restored and that the campus will be open for classes on Friday.
