Update: Supervisor Adam Hill removed his name from the online petition sometime on Saturday. A second name Patty Truin was also removed. One name is currently left on the petition.

Original story: San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Adam Hill launched a petition Friday afternoon on Change.org protesting KVEC radio talk show host Dave Congalton’s coverage of recent allegations surrounding the Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo (CAPSLO).

As of Saturday morning, the online petition, “Dave, Domestic Violence is no joking matter” has two signatures, including one from Hill.

“Radio Show host Dave Congalton has given comfort and credibility to a man convicted and jailed for beating women,” the petition says.

Hill is apparently referring to Ralph Almirol, an ex-boyfriend of Dee Torres, the CAPSLO Homeless Services manager. Almirol and other former boyfriends of Torres claim she routinely took gift cards intended for the needy and homeless for her own use. Almirol was arrested 14 years ago for domestic violence against Torres. Following the assault, Almirol said he sought help. The couple reunited and spent several more years together.

Hill and Torres are engaged to be married.

Congalton has featured numerous segments regarding the CAPSLO allegations on his afternoon radio show, defending the right of the ex-employees to be heard. He also devotes an entire broadcast every December to raise money for the San Luis Obispo County Women’s Shelter.

“I’m at a loss to explain Supervisor Hill,” Congalton said Saturday morning. “As I said on the radio, I’ve never seen a pattern of behavior like this from an elected public official in my 25 years on the Central Coast. I wish Adam Hill well. And I wish he would focus on county business.”

rOy: You are incorrect about government loving to have a policy for everything. If that were true, Bruce and Cherie would not continue in their current positions without consequence.


I get your point. SLO County is not as hip as the narcissistic brethren, men and women, would think of themselves.

Having a policy and actually following it are two different things, I fear. Or worse, policy, like rules and laws, are for the little people.

So this does bring up an interesting question… what happens when a public official mentally deteriorates? What is the procedure here for a psych eval, treatment, etc? I mean, government loves to have policies for everything, there must be one for mental breakdown.


To whom would the citizenry go and ask that a process be started to at least evaluate Mr. Hill?

The only available remedy is recall. Unlike Nevada, California legislative bodies cannot vote each other off the island.

Yes, that’s why I brought up Nevada. Wacky. I’m very surprised their rules allow someone other than the voters to terminate a representative. Sure was appropriate, though!

I think we would have to have Ms. Neisen get Mr. Hill to be deemed mentally incapacitated, and then she can start taking his money from him while CAPSLO pretends to try and get him into housing.


From what I understand, that’s how the system works for everyone else, right?

Adam seemingly is a very schizophrenic person that will never right his wrongs. In his current despicable condition, it’s all about his continued male anatomy contest with anyone that stands in his childish and bullying way. Adam can’t see the forest for the trees, but shortly, only when the forest is set on fire and about to consume him, maybe he will he see the light, albeit, when it’s too late.


As I’ve stated before, birds of a feather flock together, therefore, Adam’s cohorts, including Dee Torres, probably think alike and don’t have enough sense, or are too afraid because of possible ramifications from him, to call off his reckless abandon. Therefore, Adam Hill’s delusions and child like actions will continue to dig himself even deeper into the proverbial grave that is waiting for him because he just can’t help himself from being Adam.


In Adam’s case, stupidity should never be rewarded because it self perpetuates itself at the expense of others, as is shown with Dave Congalton, Karen, CCN, along with a host of others, and I am sure with future individuals as well. We’re all watching the pure self-destruction of a County Supervisor right before our eyes. It truly is sad to watch.

For a county supervisor to, in the first place, launch a petition like the one Hill did, and then for him to then, after he was criticized, take his own name off of it….WTFC? It’s unprofessional, to say the least, and just plain stupid.

I remember in 2010 when I went to Adam Hill for help ,with Board Of Realtors Pismo Beach using illness to refuse to sell my mother senior condo, at Ocean oaks senior living. Unit 213. Kate Carson had not disclosed faulty flooring in upper unit. We asked her over and over again.She disclosed the faulty flooring after we bought this unit.She told us how bad they were and how her husband installed HW flooring and he even said “it was the worst he has seen. Noise test proved out unit unlivable., padding removed no inlay.

Sad very sad part is we put in $20.000 to make it nicer.. Only 1.000 sf ,Only heat source gas . My lowest point in my life and my mother also who lost her husband that year..I do not think about realtors and lying as we have bought and sold for 30 years. Never had a problem until here.All these non disclosure here. You would think some would hold them accountable. They as in KW Alan Williams used Roy Ogden for their dirty work as I had all the proof I needed.But they never talked about Kate or Tamara.. Roy Ogden went right fr the juggler of a senior. Used her cancer to state agents feared her illness. This law has never been broken. They are ignoring me like no one business as I have exposed them. If they came after me for slander I would win in court. So they will not touch me. Adam Hill what a jerk.. Tell me everything he said. Then blocked our number.. Not only him but senior abuse department, DA Shea.. AG policeman also came to board of realtors. He just sat there so uncomfortable as all he did was talk about our phone call’s to police.. Officer Smiley finally said move out or get a lawyer.I now have the proof DFEH wanted as Century 21 did the same quit. Sheila Hardy quit.I have sent all of this to where it needs to go. But you would think your county would protect their seniors. DA Glimp knows.. and they are shocked in SB. Kamala Harris knows. Wrote a letter to police.This county is a little island.. is right.. We need whistle blowers and I sure am proud capslo finally had some come forward..pathologically narcissistic belongs to many here. Cindy Doll and all those agents not standing up for a senior. I believe Adam Hill is a classic example of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). Symptoms, from Wikipedia:

I don’t know if he is narcissistic or not. He definitely seems to think he is above the law. He also seems to think he is much smarter than he really is.


The way he abuses his power to retaliate against CCN and, really, anyone who challenges him, is just bizarre. He ends up, by his over-the-top attempts to “get even,” confirming that he is guilty as charged.


I get the impression that he is always trying so hard to compensate for something—always trying to prove something, to control things, like he’s afraid we will find out the depth of how far he is out of his league on the county BOS. He does the screwyest things in board meetings (like playing with his ipad, for the love of God), and says the screwyest things in public. He’s just not BOS material.
