Body found in San Simeon tent identified

The San Luis Obispo County coroner has identified the body of a man found last month in a San Simeon tent as 58-year-old Brian Joseph Edward Boyer.
Death investigators identified Boyer using dental records because his body had significantly decomposed by the time it was found. It is believed that he had been dead for four of five weeks when a passerby found his body near the mouth of Pico Creek on March 13.
No foul play is suspected in Boyer’s death. Nevertheless, investigators could not pinpoint a cause.
Boyer died a transient, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
