Eight arrested in Arroyo Grande drug raid

juv handcuffsA five-month Arroyo Grande Police Department investigation led to the arrests of eight people Thursday at a home on the 1000 block of Sunset Drive, according to police.

Around 7 a.m., officers and police K-9 found heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, and cash at the Arroyo Grande home. Officers arrested eight of the ten people in the home for a variety of charges.

The residence and property were deemed uninhabitable because of electrical issues and other hazards and were red-tagged by the city building department and the police department. Officers turned three dogs over to San Luis Obispo County Animal Services.

Police arrested David Blashaw, 39, on suspicion of possessing heroin for sales and methamphetamine; Haley Dockstader, 20, on suspicion of possessing heroin for sales and bringing a controlled substance into jail; Dani Niemas, 39, on suspicion of possessing heroin for sales; Kara Jeffords, 30, on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine; Matt Jeffers, 33, on suspicion of possessing heroin; Dustin Palmer, 29, for a probation violation, Reynaldo Herrera, 32, possession of paraphernalia and Kaney Hughes, 28, for two misdemeanor warrants.
