Federal agents raid San Luis Obispo accounting firm

By KAREN VELIE

Federal agents raided a San Luis Obispo accounting firm on Thursday, spending hours scouring the office and removing boxes of files from the business.

More than a dozen FBI and IRS agents descended on 755 Santa Rosa Street in SLO on Thursday morning to serve a search warrant. One agent pulled a car in front of a BMW owned by Pamela Fitzpatrick, the owner of Fitzpatrick Professional Accountancy, blocking the accountant from leaving the parking garage.

Shortly after agents entered the second floor, most of the accounting firm’s employees left the building.

After about five hours, a group of agents displaying “Police, IRS-CI,” on their shirts left the building. CI stands for criminal investigation, which is the law enforcement branch of the IRS.

FBI agents, many carrying white bullet proof vests, also began leaving the building.

Shortly after 4 p.m., three FBI agents began loading dozens of boxes of documents into a large white van.

Investigators are not providing further information at this time. CalCoastNews will provide updates as they become available.

This is why we need 87,000 more IRS agents to catch more of these cheating charlatans.

Based on Google & Yelp reviews, this place was failing to file client tax returns correctly and on time. Can only imagine how they were reporting their own taxes.

Looks like their complete incompetence came home to roost.

My favorite part of the YELP reviews is that “Anne M” reviewed THREE Fitzpatrick locations with glowing reviews but when you dig into ALL of “Anne M’s” reviews, one of the places responded and used her REAL name of “Pamela” in the response.

For those that don’t know, Pam’s middle name is Anne.

I also just read a VERY interesting comment on the Trib’s article about this raid. Sounds like there is some digging that could be done on Pamela Anne, her multiple Fitzpatrick companies and all the corporate three-card monte games she has created.

Couldn’t happen to a more worthy firm. The WORST client experience I have ever had. Fired them about five months ago from personal and business accounts. Never ending excuses. Aggressive and rude front desk. Something always felt off.

Your gut was right. She is not a good person. She’ll step on anyone’s neck to climb the status ladder. I gave her seven years and inadvertently helped her climb that ladder, only to have my own neck stepped on, which is why I bailed. She did some mean shit to me even AFTER I was gone.

Something has ALWAYS been off. She’s changed corporate structures, corporate officers, corporate locations, always on the run TOWARDS status while disgruntled clients and employees, and in some cases frustrated landlords, were left in her wake.

I hope Kevin has his CA corrections officer retirement money secure and separate from his wife’s FBI and IRS criminal investigation.

Could be one of those follow the money activities in connection to what? Maybe Cal Poly’s free tax returns preparation for seniors may be the way to go next time?

The free tax prep is only for people who make slave wages. Anyone who makes a decent wage does not qualify.

I wonder if this is more from information provided by Dayspring related to HIll, Gibson, Harmon?

I wonder who their clients are. We can only hope if there is corruption that it be revealed. Though I can’t say I have much faith in the FBI or IRS.

It’s the critics of the FBI and IRS that I don’t trust. Why are they having a problem with the tax laws and law enforcement? Are the paying their taxes in full and on time? What is their motive? What scams were they trying to get away with? People throwing shade on them may be tax cheats, scammers, fraudsters.

Does the IRS have a tipline? You could make some good moolah snitching.

So many anti-law-enforcement attitudes nowadays.

Ditto

Read the firms google and yelp reviews. Seems like they have been screwing locals for a few years. Seems like this was a long time coming…

Go read “Anne M’s” reviews of the firm and then go read her review of a cupcake/cake business in Truckee, where the owner of that business responds and calls her “Pamela”.

“Anne” is Pamela’s middle name. Pam has been shady from the moment she inherited some coin and got the chance to climb the “status” ladder and come to the coast, from the Central Valley.

I am confused. Are we supposed to cheer tax cheats and jeer law enforcement officers doing there job? Or maybe should we just ignore them while doing it?

I can take away one thing from this “raid”. Old Orange hair seemed to be treated just about the same as anyone else who has run afoul of the law. FBI, IRS, and local police wear protective gear while serving a warrant. This action really isn’t even noteworthy unless you want to imply a heavy hand of the law enforcement. Nothing was reported here other than—Agents doing their job. Scoop.

Wow, Go get em!
