  • Henry’s Farm Inc. Recalls Soybean Sprouts Due To Possible Health Risk – Henry’s Farm Inc. of Woodford, VA is recalling all packages of Soybean Sprouts because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections to individuals with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
  • URGENT PRODUCT RECALL NOTICE – Acme Smoked Fish Corporation of Brooklyn, NY is voluntarily recalling 564 pounds of its Imported (Product of Denmark) Acme 4oz. (113g) vacuum packs of Smoked Nova Salmon with lot code of L.05122014 because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This organism can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and others with weakened immune systems.
  • Flying Cow Creamery Voluntarily Recalls Yogurt – Flying Cow Creamery is voluntarily recalling one lot of whole milk yogurt due to a faulty time and temperature recording during pasteurization. Pasteurization heats milk to eliminate all illness-causing bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella.
  • Natura Pet Recalls 5 Lots of Dry Cat and Dry Ferret Food due to Vitamin Insufficiency – Natura Pet Products has initiated a limited, voluntary recall of certain dry cat and dry ferret food lots produced in its Fremont, Nebraska facility. Due to a formulation error, these products contain insufficient levels of vitamins and excess minerals.
  • Kozy Shack Enterprises, LLC Issues Allergen Alert on Unlabeled Foodservice Chocolate Pudding Cups – Kozy Shack Enterprises, LLC is voluntarily recalling certain items of its Foodservice Kozy Shack Simply Well Chocolate Pudding 4 oz. cups because they contain undeclared milk and lack product labeling. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
  • Evershing International Trading Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in Vinacafe Brand Coffee – Wake Up Weasel Instant Coffee mix 3-in-1 – Evershing International Trading is voluntarily recalling Vinacafe Brand Wake Up Weasel Instant Coffee mix 3-in-1 after learning that the product may contain Sodium Caseinate ( a Milk derivative), a Milk allergen, and Soy extract, a Soy Allergen, that is not declared on the products’ ingredient statement. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to Milk and/or Soy have the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this coffee.
  • Lundberg Family Farms Recalls Eco-Farmed and Organic Brown Rice Flour Because of Possible Health Risk – Lundberg Family Farms announced that it is voluntarily recalling specific bags of Brown Rice Flour because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems if consumed raw. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
  • Solgar, Inc. Issues Voluntary Class I Recall of ABC Dophilus Powder – Solgar, Inc., of Leonia, NJ, is voluntarily recalling ABC Dophilus Powder. The recall was initiated, out of an abundance of caution, because the product was found to contain Rhizopus oryzae, which may cause Mucormycosis. This is a rare infection that may cause health problems to consumers, particularly pre-mature infants/infants, children, and those with weakened immune systems.
  • B&G Foods Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Peanut And Almond In Product – B&G Foods announced today it is voluntarily recalling certain Ortega Taco Seasoning Mix, Ortega Taco Sauce, Ortega Enchilada Sauce and Ortega Taco Kit products and certain Las Palmas Taco Seasoning Mix and Las Palmas Taco Sauce products after learning that one or more of the spice ingredients purchased from a third party supplier contain peanuts and almonds, allergens that are not declared on the products ingredient statements. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts and almonds run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. There is no health risk associated with these products for individuals without an allergy to peanuts or almonds.
  • Great American Appetizers, Inc. Recalls Hyvee Mozzarella Cheese Sticks Due To Undeclared Soy Flour, Yellow #5, And Yellow #6 – Great American Appetizers, Inc. of Nampa, Idaho is recalling 662 cases of HyVee Mozzarella Cheese Sticks because they may contain undeclared soy flour, yellow #5 and yellow #6. People who have an allergy or sensitivity to soy, yellow #5 or yellow #6 can run the risk of serious allergic reaction if they consume this product.
  • Marin Food Specialties, Inc. Initiates Voluntary Recall of – Marin Foods Specialties, Inc. of Byron, CA is voluntarily recalling Organic Raw Almonds (bitter almonds), due to them possibly containing elevated levels of naturally occurring hydrogen cyanide according to laboratory test results. To date, no human illnesses have been associated with these products and they have been pulled from sale.
  • Schwartz Brothers Bakery Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Milk in “Everything Bagels” – Schwartz Brothers Bakery of Seattle, Washington is recalling “Everything Bagels” because product contains milk but it is not declared as the ingredient on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
  • Oasis Brands, Inc.   • Welcome Market, Inc. dba 99 Ranch Market Announces Recall of “Taro Toast”, “Family Toast”, “U-Ta-Ne Toast”, “Raisin Toast”, “Green Onion Porksung Toast”, “Coconut Toast”, “Pineapple Toast”, “Multi-9 Grain”, “Cheese Toast”, “Wheat Bran Toast”, and “Red Bean Toast” – Welcome Market, Inc. dba 99 Ranch Market of Union City, CA is recalling “Taro Toast”, “Family Toast”, “U-Ta-Ne Toast”, “Raisin Toast”, “Green Onion Porksung Toast”, “Coconut Toast”, “Pineapple Toast”, “Multi-9 Grain”, “Cheese Toast”, “Wheat Bran Toast”, and “Red Bean Toast” because the product labels failed to declare food allergen wheat, soy, and/or and milk in the ingredient statement. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat, soy and/or milk run the risk of a life-threatening allergic reaction that requires immediate medical attention should they consume these products.
  • New Jersey Firm Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Fish, Wheat and Egg In Garden Rotini Salad – Taylor Farms New Jersey, Inc. of Swedesboro, NJ is voluntarily recalling 1,510 units of WAWA Garden Rotini Salad due to the potential of undeclared fish, wheat and egg allergens contained in the salad.
  • Bartlett Milling Company Issues Recall of Horse Food – Bartlett Milling Company has initiated a limited recall of certain horse feeds due to potential Rumensin contamination. The products were distributed to customers and retailers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
  • Marathon Ventures, Inc. Announces Voluntary Recall of Raw Macadamia Nuts Due to Possible Health Risk – Marathon Ventures, Inc. announced today that it is voluntarily recalling various retail and bulk packages containing raw macadamia nuts as a precautionary measure because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea (which may be bloody), and abdominal pain.
  • Chetak New York L.L.C. Recalls 7 Oz., 14 Oz., & 28 Oz. Packages of “Deep Raw Cashew Pieces” Because of Possible Health Risk – Chetak New York L.L.C. of Edison, NJ is recalling its 5560 packages of 7oz., 3840 packages of 14oz., & 1920 packages of 28oz. “DEEP RAW CASHEW PIECES” because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
  • Shur-Green Farms Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Lascadoil/Soyoil Due to Possible Lasalocid Contamination – Shur-Green Farms LLC(Ansonia, OH) has voluntarily recalled loads of Soyoil containing Lascadoil, industrial processing waste oil, which was intended for non-food product or bio-fuels but may have been used as a feed ingredient. This voluntary recall is the result of death in turkeys.
